Several Year 8 girls undertook the overnight tramp to Lake Daniel. They carried in all of their equipment and took responsibility for cooking their own meals. They were tūmeke wahine toa, strong, resilient, responsible and great fun to tramp with.
Along the way they met up with an old time gold miner, panned for gold and found their fortune!
