There are many famous artists who have created wonderful artworks from cut paper. One of these was a French artist called Henri Matisse.
Our cut paper artworks had to have a 3-dimensional aspect to them. To achieve this we created curvatures through our cut out hands, making them look as though they were playing their instruments. Some artists even tried to show key chords.
Room 3 thinks your Music Art is amazing, great, awesome, beautiful. We love it. Thank you for letting us look at your art on your blog, and on the wall in your classroom. We enjoyed our visit to Room 1.
ReplyDeleteI really love your art work Ruma Tahi. NZ Music Month is a significant event for you to acknowledge. I read the other day that it was set up many years ago to try and promote a very unappreciated music scene in NZ, and it has been one of our most successful promotional events. I suppose Lorde is a good example of this.

ReplyDeleteKai Pai This Artwork is amazing. I can tell you have put a lot of effort into this. I love all of them especially how you took it that extra mile by making the hands and music notes. I love the different colours and instruments. How long did they take to make? What was the best and worst part of making them? It would be cool to see them made in a different material.

Guten tag! I like the way you bent the hands to create a 3D effect. I would like to know where you got the inspiration for your artwork from. I can clearly see that you know how to use cut paper to create a stunning piece of 3D artwork. I wonder what your artwork would look like if the colour of the background didn’t match the colour of the hand or musical instrument?

Hello Ruma Tahi Those music pictures are amazing I hope my school does something like that one day. They look quite hard I like challenging things. I think that your pictures would look even better if you framed them.

I really like the way you used lots of different colored paper to make it colourful and stand out. Kia ora room Ruma Tahi im Rem from st patrick's . I really enjoyed checking out your pictures for music month they all look so cool. It really showed me how many diffrent things you can do with paper particularly making pictures. Next time you might want to try to use contrast colours because it will make the pictures pop and stand out.
